Did Inglot Cosmetics Make A Becca Highlighter Palette Dupe... For Less??

Friday, February 26, 2016

I've become a bit of an Inglot addict since last summer. I browser their online shop for ages till I actually went for it and got a haul from them and this was one of the things that caught my eye because it resembled Jacklyn Hill's x Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter Palette... for a fraction of the cost!

Now, I don't own the palette, nor the individuals so I can't speak to the quality of it but I can speak to the colours!

Inglot Cosmetics Freedom System HD Highlighter Trio in 102

This is the Inglot Highlighter Trio in 102 which retails for $17 CAD. It's part of their "Freedom System" which just means it's in a magnetic palette that will fit either their custom made empty palettes or other empty magnetic palettes (I have mine stored in a MAC magnetic palette.. which doesn't hold s#$% but it'll have to do till I grab one that actually holds!).

Do you see a difference?

QUALITY: These feel soft to touch and blend incredibly well. The pigmentation is definitely there and I can see an incredible resemblance between this trio and the Champagne Pop palette. The "pearl/white" highlighter appears a little more powder-y but does blend out nicely.

HOWEVER, I will say I'm not a fan of this type of shimmer shadow for highlight. I actually prefer my highlight to be more glitter-y than shimmer-y. That being said these make for a great eye shadow (or highlighter if that's how you like them).

COLOURS: The trio comes with a white/ pearl colour as the lightest shade, a pale yellow toned "champagne-esque" and lastly a warm bronzed colour.

PRICE: Inglot's Highlighter trio sells for $17CAD (7g) while the Champagne Pop Highlighter Palette sold for $44CAD (7g total) .

I know Jacklyn said it was going to be going to be a "forever" product instead of LE on her snapchat but I can't seem to find it sold anywhere (in Canada at least) anymore so not sure how true that is.

→ The pictures below are of me using all Inglot Cosmetics on my eyes, lips and using this trio highlighter. The darkest shade to contour my cheek bones and the lightest to highlight.

So, if you weren't able to get your hands on the Champagne Pop palette I'd say head on over to Inglot and pick up their trio! I would have to use the Becca palette to say which I prefer but I will say for the price and the quality that Inglot delivers.. I don't see me even wanting to try others!
