Complete Salon Manicure Blue My Mind

There's a Shoppers Drugstore near my workplace (think pharmacy with all the pickin's) and often times before/after my shift if I have some spare time I end up idly making my way to this store and spending money. I came in for lash glue but saw these were on sale for $6 so I decided to grab two bottles, 'Ruby Do' and 'Blue My Mind' (whoever came up with these names, yes, *high five*).

Today, I'll be showing off Blue My Mind and I did a little test. I recorded a video of myself making this normal polish into gel polish but using a gel base and top coat and curing (video below).

What Sally says about the polish:
Skip the salon, get the results. Don't settle for just color when you can get a base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, salon-inspired color, top coat, chip-resistance and a gel finish all in 1 bottle. Featuring the unique precision brush for a flawless finish and patented Vita Care technology for advanced 10 day wear, more shine and nourishing care -- Sally Hansen
Now, with the GEL base and top coat, it was 6 days until it started to chip. I used Madam Glam's base and top UV Gel soak off coat --side note, awesome gel polishes and they often have sales but more on them another time--.

It applies smoothly and I'm a big fan of the skinny-wide brush which makes applying that much easier (especially for a butter fingers like me). However, shortly after application the sheen it originally had faded. It was still shiny but it didn't have the WOW effect it did right away. It also didn't dry as fast as I'd like but there are other ways to help that.

Aren't there fast drying top coats out there or something? I was sure Sephora had a quick dry spray but I can't seem to find it, any info out there?

TEST/COMPARISON: After one day of just this polish (no top coat) I noticed a small chip near the tip of my index finger. It's a MINIMAL chip but a chip none-the-less. Keep in mind that I wash my hands and use sanitizer a lot because of my job so polish usually don't last as long on me. *update* it's now day 4 and the tips of my natural nail are now showing. So it HAD chipped but significantly less than other polishes I've recently tried.

With the GEL top coat, it lasted 6 days before some chipping started.

I would absolutely buy more of these polishes. I think the formula is great, the colours are beautiful and it does last longer than some of my other polishes. It's at a great price point as well.
