Purple Hair Dancing in PublicTuesday, May 22, 2012
|what? I saw a duck!|
I bought this purple piece from cosplay-laurawu_123, a dark purple 24" cost me $11.19CAD WITH tracking! Click here for the listing. Super fabulous deal, the hair piece is shiny but still looks amazing, especially since it's really just an accent piece it doesn't look super fake. It is "100% Japanese Kanekalon Fiberand" which is exactly what I recommend to buy if you can for synthetic hairs. I was so happy when I first got it I tweeted a picture and many of you were curious.. hehe
Look at that!!! LOOKS FRIGGIN GORGEOUS I JUST CAN'T EVEN. I wanted to dye my hair purple so bad after this.. and especially so after the Aria shoot! WANT PURPLE HAIR! Gah, if it weren't for a) my job, b) my laziness and c) the cost, I would definitely have either dark red or purple hair. Natural hair feels so much better than dyed hair though..
VERY PICTURE HEAVY BELOW THE CUT. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!
ALSO, AN IS COMING UP IN A FEW DAYS. IF YOU WILL BE ATTENDING PLEASE SHOOT ME AN E-MAIL OR TWEET ME SO WE CAN MEET!!! :D:D
The piece I got is really long and matched my hair length perfectly, if your hair isn't as long as mine, go for a shorter one. It's true to its size. It does feel a bit heavy after a while (I wore this for about 4 hours before I took it off, felt really light afterwards haha) but nothing uncomfortable.
The seller has great communication and ships out fast. I received it in two and a half weeks (which is pretty standard when I'm getting things from China).
|okay okay.. starting to get serious.. cracking just a little smile..|
I'm wearing Miliani's Rose Hip lipstick btw, swatches coming soon. I promise!
dancing in public. Well.. maybe not in a largely crowded area, I like to keep SOME composure! haha
Here, let me mess up my luscious purple hair that I wish were real~!
I seriously had such a fun time. Thanks again Nancy for taking me out! We bought some ice cream and the guy who owned the cart fell in love with our charm (or so we would like to think) and offered us free ice cream when we finished. haha THEN we went to the most lovely fabric store, SELECT FABRICS 256 Queen St. E The owner is probably the sweetest lady I've met in a while. She was very helpful (I was buying fabric for my cosplay) and open later than most stores. She told us how she even opens up if people are having a fashion emergency! She was sweet and even gave me some free fabric since we travelled a bit to get to her and it was our first time there. I told her I would blog about her, I don't think she'll ever see this but if I somehow get her a little more traffic in her store, I'll be satisfied. I was really worried I'd be judged going into a fabric store because I know so little.
The front of the store just had dresses so I wasn't sure if they actually sold fabric but when you step in you see such a wide variety. Great prices too! When I requested cheaper fabric she didn't even bat an eye, it made me feel really comfortable in her store. The area is really nice as well.
AND A BIG THANK YOU TO G FOR CREATING MY NEW WATERMARK! She has the most beautiful writing and I expressed how I wanted a new watermark.. she, out of the blue, drew this out and I instantly fell in love. Lined it out myself and the rest is history!
I told G that I wrote about her and she probably died from curiosity waiting for this post. kekeke *mischievous*
OH and here are some shots of the flowers I took.. didn't take too many.
