Kiko Make-Up!!

Hi everyone!
I guess this is considered my legit first post. How was everyone’s frosh week/first week of classes/back to work after the long weekend? Hope it wasn’t too terrible. Me, on the other hand, wow! What a week. I am not cut out for 530 mornings. My classes were good. I met a lot of new people already. I love meeting new people! There is a guy in my class who graduated from the University of Waterloo with me this past summer. Small world!!!
Anyhow, on with what this post is really about! In August I went to Italy and Spain and unlocked the most amazing secret in the world. KIKO!!! I cannot put into words how much I loved this store. Kiko Cosmetics are MAC quality without MAC prices. I hit the nail polish jackpot and ended up bringing 8 bottles home (less than $5 CDN each). I also ended up bringing home: Perfect Glow Foundation # 02, Mascara Top-Coat Volumator (not too sure about the English translation of this haha) and After Sun Milk (I had a really, really, bad burn at this pont). I’m working on trying to get photos of these for you.
I’ve been using the foundation for about a week now and I have to say, I absolutely love it. It goes on smoothly and leaves just the slightest glimmer effect. However, it’s pretty sheer, so I tend to use it as a setter after my actual foundation.

I haven’t used the mascara top coat enough to make a sound decision, but I can say this. It’s meant to be used as a top coat (who would’ve thunk?!) It doesn’t work well as mascara itself.

I also haven’t had the chance to use the after sun milk much as Toronto seems to be lacking any type of sun or warmth lately.
The nail polishes don’t have names, but numbers. I haven’t had a chance to use them yet, but when I do, I’ll be sure to swatch them for you and write a review! So far Kiko Cosmetics are only available in Europe. They have an English site, but it’s very much a tease as they don’t ship to North America. Here’s hoping that changes soon!
Happy weekend!

Ps. I’m super sorry about the quality of my photos and videos. I’m still learning how to use my DSLR (Filo will help with that!!) and I don’t have a video camera, so I use the one on my phone (for now!!) Bear with me J
